It is not possible to limit the attractions in China; it has a number of beautiful places to visit. Everyone is familiar with the man-made structures in China, but for a country this massive, it is surprising that only a few people appreciate the countrys other attractions. Every visitor to China has been to The Great Wall and The Forbidden City, but how many have noticed the other attractions in the country? Here are some of the top places to visit in China. Anhui: Anhui This is a 900 year old village of Hongcun which has attracted visitors for many years. Visitors love the architecture and the vibe here. It has classic structure which has been an inspiration for photography enthusiasts and art students. It is about 70 kilometers northwest of the city of Huangshan in Anhui. It has narrow lanes and ancient houses. Mount Huangshan: Mount Huangshan This is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is a once in a lifetime trek for many Chinese. The mountain is 1863 meter in height and is known for the spectacular rock formations, pines, hot springs and misty clouds. Jokhang Temple: Jokhang Temple Jokhang is a spiritual center of Tibet and is the holiest destination for all Tibetan pilgrims. It is situated in the old town of Lhasa and is a 7th century four story building. It is an architectural delight and is a combination of styles of Tibetan, Indian, Han and Nepal architecture. Mount Wuyi:  Mount Wuyi Another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mount Wuyi is located in Southeast China and is 350 km northwest of Fuzhou. A two hour and eight kilometer long trip will give grand views of the Mountain. Bamboo raft drifting in the Nine Bend River is a very popular activity amongst the visitors here. Fortress Towers, Kaiping: Fortress Towers The Fortress Towers were built by the outbound Kaipingers who brought many architectural styles to China. These towers were built as a display of wealth and about 1,800 towers still stand still in the rice fields of Kaiping. Yangshuo: Yangshuo If you long for views of the most scenic hills, take a boat cruise to Yangshuo. It is famous for the hills and the traditional fishing village lifestyle. Visitors can rent bikes and head to the countryside for peace and calm. Huangguoshu Waterfall: Huangguoshu Waterfall Huangguoshu is the highest waterfall in Asia which is easily accessible. It plunges at a height of 77.8 meters across a 101 meter wide span. It is accessible for viewing from every angle, above, below, front, back, left and right. Ideal time to visit is between June to August when the water is at the peak flow of 700 cubic meters per second. It is directly connected by flight to Beijing. Guanyin Statue: Guanyin Statue The statue is in the southernmost mountain of China. It has a story which says that the three sided statue faces China, South China Sea and Taiwan and it blesses the whole world. It is 108 meters tall and is one of the tallest statues on the planet. Yalong Bay: Guanyin Statue Yalong Bay is everything you need for a quintessential experience of a Southeast Asian holiday. It is a 7.5 kilometer beach which is a very popular destination. There are many luxury hotels and is a haven for adventure enthusiasts. A lot of locals tend to visit the bay during Spring Festival in July, August and October. Rehe Palace: Rehe Palace A UNESCO World Heritage site, the summer palace was used by emperors on a holiday. There are delicate gardens, marvelous mountains and valleys which make it an ideal place to relax and avoid the heat.
